  •  Layup Technician

    Responsible for composite layup and bagging which would include:

    • Cutting material, following template and/or work order;
    • Apply layers of material to a mold or tool, pressing to fit contours and remove air pockets and wrinkles;
    • Encase mold in bagging material, attach vacuum apparatus, and exhaust air to seal for curing. Test seals to ensure part will be properly cured.
    • Must be able to read and understand written and verbal work orders; follow detailed instructions; and communicate questions and suggestions to supervisor.
    • Requires hand/finger dexterity; visual acuity; ability to lift/carry/push/pull heavy items; ability to stand for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

  •  Bagging Technician

    Responsible for using various vacuum materials to conceal a pre-cured part on a tool or mandrel and install the vacuum to prepare for oven/autoclave cure.

    • Visually checks part to make sure there is no foreign debree or other imperfections prior to bagging.
    • Performs leak checks prior to cure.
    • Works with small hand tools to prepare part for cure.
    • Applies the vacuum bag materials, bleeders, and breather cloths, around the mold or mandrel for parts of medium to complex difficulty for oven and/or autoclave cure.
    • Installs vacuum connecters to the bag.
    • Installs thermocouples to part.
    • Precise work with hands to perform detail pleat placement.
    • Follows work instructions to bag and wrap parts appropriately.
    • Correctly documents relevant data for material traceability purposes.
    • Communicates effectively and professionally to team members.
    • Offers ideas and makes suggestions to improve processes.
    • Receives and provides direction to others from leads and supervisors.
    • Able to train others and provide assistance.
    • Requires hand/finger dexterity; visual acuity; ability to lift/carry/push/pull heavy items; ability to stand for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

  •  Quality Inspector

    Responsible for ensuring the product manufactured meets or exceeds customer requirements through the verification of compliance to drawing, standards, specifications, or other contractual documents; and when applicable, first article inspection.

    • Review production job order for completion and required information.
    • Be a team player in achieving company and corporate goals.
    • As required, perform review of materials used for compliance to time and temperature requirements.
    • Verify customer contract requirements, including source inspection for applicable parts and assemblies.
    • Perform dimensional inspection of parts and assemblies in accordance with applicable drawings and standards.
    • Review and interpret drawings or specifications for any required production test, such as pressure test.
    • Maintain accurate and legible records, traceable to each part or assembly inspected.
    • Day to day interaction with manufacturing, engineering, and contract departments to meet company production schedules and/or customer needs.
    • Document nonconformance by hard copy and electronic database input.
    • Ability to use radius gages, micrometers, calipers, height gages, and other measuring devices.
    • Requires hand/finger dexterity; visual acuity; ability to lift/carry/push/pull heavy items; ability to stand for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
