Leading The Way

Todd Lair founded LTC and has served as President since the company’s inception. Mr. Lair has guided LTC from a start-up to a diversified defense and aerospace company with over 380,000 square feet of manufacturing capacity and approximately 400 employees.

Mr. Lair earned a bachelor’s degree in Business from Wichita State University and holds several patents in the composites field. He is a member of the Young Presidents Organization and serves on the Board of Trustees for Wichita Collegiate School and the board of the community’s Boys & Girls Clubs. In 2008, Mr. Lair founded the Lair Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to serving our nation’s veterans, the Wichita community and Faith-based service organizations.

During his decades with the company, Mr. Scheer has been involved in nearly all of LTC’s development and manufacturing efforts. A graduate of Wichita State University, Mr. Scheer worked for Pawnee Composites Incorporated (PCI) for over seven years manufacturing aerospace/aircraft composite parts and assemblies. While at PCI, he held the positions of Program Manager, Quality Manager and Regional Sales Manager.

Since coming to LTC in 1995, Mr. Scheer has held the positions of Program Manager, Quality Assurance Manager and New Product Development Manager before being promoted to Senior Vice President in 2005.

Ms. Larson brings a wide range of accounting experience to her role as Chief Financial Officer, having spent 15 years in the manufacturing industry and five years with Grant Thornton. She oversees the daily operations of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Human Resources and Payroll, and is responsible for all internal and external financial reporting and analysis.

Ms. Larson holds a BA in Accounting and Management from Bethany College and a Masters of Accountancy from Wichita State University. She maintains her CPA license and brings both education and experience to LTC.

Mr. Martin brings nearly 40 years of industry experience to LTC, with prior executive leadership roles at Boeing, Hawker Beechcraft (now Textron Aviation), Spirit AeroSystems and AgEagle Aerial, Inc. (a UAV/drone company). A graduate of Wichita State University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, he leads a multi-discipline team responsible for LTC’s personal protection business, producing products that help save lives around the world.

Mr. Martin is the recipient of NASA’s prestigious Silver Snoopy and Space Flight Awareness Honoree awards, bestowed on individuals who significantly contribute to human spaceflight programs to ensure safety and mission success. He and wife Vickie are the proud parents of three grown daughters.

Mr. Henry has been in the aerospace industry since 1999. He led corporate aviation and detailing company Appearance Group (now Prime Appearance) as part owner, VP, President and eventually CEO/President, helping grow its operations across 16 states and 20+ individual operations. He also helped found and lead Air Capital Interiors in 2013, and joined LTC in 2021 after selling his ownership stake in both organizations.

Mr. Henry holds an undergraduate degree from The University of Kansas and an MBA from Baker University. He serves as a board member of the American Red Cross – South Central and Southeast Kansas.

Mr. Richardson has been part of the LTC team for nearly two decades. His responsibilities include sales and customer support while also being extensively involved with personal protection armor systems development.

Before joining the LTC team, Mr. Richardson was part of the ballistics testing team at H. P. White for nearly 25 years. His years of ballistic testing experience have been invaluable to LTC from not only setting up and operating our own internal ballistics test lab but offering insight on solution testing and probable failure mechanisms.

Mr. Murray brings nearly 25 years of commercial leadership experience to LTC. He is responsible for business development and strategic sales and marketing for LTC’s Personal Protection business.

Prior to LTC, Mr. Murray served as CEO of Astra Energy Solutions and was the Global Business Leader for INVISTA’s Nylon Polymers business (a Koch Industries company). Mr. Murray holds both a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Wichita State University, and is a proud Shockers supporter.

Mr. Coltrane has worked in the aerospace and defense industry since 1989. He joined LTC in 2006 and leads the business development efforts for the Aerospace and Defense Division. Prior to joining LTC he held leadership positions with Ducommun Aerostructures as Vice President of Sales and Meggitt Aerospace as Director of Engineering and Quality Assurance.

Mr. Coltrane holds three patents and a Bachelor of Science degree from Pittsburg State University in Polymer/Plastics Engineering. He serves on the board of the St. Juan Diego Foundation – Catholic Diocese of Wichita Kansas.

Mr. Little brings 17 years of executive operations experience, leading programs such as the 737 Fuselage, 767/777 Fuselage, 787 Fuselage, and Boeing/Airbus Strut and Nacelle programs. He oversees the operational success of LTC’s vehicle protection, body armor, and aerospace business segments.  He appreciates the company’s commitment to fostering a team environment, finding a way to say “yes” to customers, and helping teams produce the rights results the right way.

Mr. Little earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Wichita State University and MBA from Friends University. Mr. Little has served as a board member for the Wichita Aeroclub, helping to grow aviation in the Wichita community.

Mr. Michel manages the armor development teams and testing range at LTC. He graduated from Wichita State University with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and a focus on composite design and manufacturing. He added an MBA from Friends University as he moved into leadership and management roles.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Michel has designed major composite structures for defense and commercial aerospace programs. He later managed these design teams, leading his teams to reach milestones on time, quality and budget.

Mr. McGown oversees all R&D, design engineering, manufacturing engineering and customer support efforts for LTC’s vehicle protection segment. He enjoys developing innovative armor solutions that meet customer needs. Mr. McGown joined LTC upon graduating Pittsburg State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Plastics Engineering Technology.
